HomeAhead is a member of the Furniture Bank Network of North America. Since 2019 we have furnished homes for over 1,500 people in Boulder County, helping break the cycle of homelessness in our community. HomeAhead accepts gently used essential furniture and household items and distributes them to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness in Boulder County
Through a cycle of giving and helping, we provide the most vulnerable individuals and families in our community the means to create a true home and start a new life. We strive to transform empty houses into safe and comfortable homes and put the stigma of experiencing homelessness in the past.

Some of the agencies that refer clients to HomeAhead include: All Roads (Boulder Shelter for the Homeless), Sister Carmen, The Inn Between, HOPE for Longmont, EFAA, Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, TGTHR, Focus Reentry, Boulder Housing Partners, Boulder County Housing and Human Services, and more.

About

Give Furniture, Change Lives
We gratefully accept furniture donations in two ways:
during open drop-off hours or through our fee-based furniture removal service—whichever works best for you.

If you're able to bring items to us, it helps stretch our limited resources and allows us to focus more of our time and energy on serving individuals and families who are starting over.

We also offer a convenient pickup option for a fee—think of it as a mission-driven junk removal service. This allows us to remove almost any furniture or household items, regardless of condition. Our first priority is always to reuse what we can in our furniture bank to help those in need. Items we cannot reuse are responsibly recycled, donated, or disposed of.

Whether you drop off or schedule a pickup, your donation helps furnish homes—and futures. Thank you for your support!
Gently Used, Clean, or New Please. Click here for a list of what we take.
We will decline items showing stains or excessive wear.
We are unable to accept heavy pieces of furniture.
