Everyone deserves to come home to a bed to sleep in, a table to gather around, and the everyday comforts that make a space feel like their own.
HomeAhead helps individuals and families create comfortable, functional homes after experiencing homelessness, hardship, or life transitions, especially when they are starting over with little or nothing.
Since 2019, our community has helped furnish homes for more than 1,500 people. By collecting and redistributing high-quality, gently used furniture and household essentials, we help neighbors build stability and dignity while keeping usable goods out of the landfill.
Together, we give furniture a meaningful second life—and help people begin again at home.
Agency partners include: All Roads (Boulder Shelter for the Homeless), Sister Carmen, The Inn Between, HOPE for Longmont, EFAA, Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, TGTHR, Focus Reentry, Boulder Housing Partners, Boulder County Housing and Human Services, and more.

About

Give Furniture, Change Lives
We gratefully accept furniture and household-item donations in two ways: through our free open drop-off hours or our fee-based furniture removal service, whichever is most convenient for you.
Our removal service offers an easy, mission-driven alternative to traditional junk removal. For a fee, our team can pick up nearly any furniture or household item, regardless of condition. We first look for items that can be reused through HomeAhead to help furnish homes for people in need. Items we cannot use are responsibly donated, recycled, or disposed of.
Whether you drop off furnishings or hire us to remove them, you are helping turn empty spaces into homes and supporting a more sustainable community. Thank you for being part of it.
Gently Used, Clean, or New Please. Click here for a list of what we take at our open donation hours. For Fee based pickup, these rules do not apply.
This is the time of year where we have a lot of stuff and are running low on space, so we must be incredibly picky about what items we take. We will decline any items showing stains or excessive wear. Even small stains on mattresses are disqualifying.
